Fuzzy guard what is

In this case there is a trigger to start and stop fuzzy guarding but no specific timings to doing that. Without a fuzzy guard, any unreactable mid and low are a mixup. However, if for example your opponent uses an i13 mid to mix up a 20 frame low without delays, you might block mid for 13 to 18 frames and then low parry afterwards, covering both. This is fuzzy guard.

Since most powerful lows are slow, an expert fuzzy guard is hard to break with sloppy offense. Many strings are also fallible to fuzzy guard. You can use this to set up a fuzzy guard. I don't know of any setups, but theoretically you could with a V-Trigger cancel or a meaty jump in I suppose.

But in general fuzzy guard means locking them in the standing state so they have a bigger hurtbox to get hit with an instant overhead. Insta-overhead on wakeup. User Info: AfroPrime. Waifu culture is cancer. User Info: nantomaster.

Fuzzy Guard. Thread starter Redk9 Start date Jul 7, Redk9 Noob. I don't know if people are incorrectly using the term, or if i'm just way behind. A fuzzy guard is when an opponent is left in a standing position even though they are crouching. This allows things such as instant overheads to hit even though they are technically crouching. Yet I see people talking about fuzzy guards in situations with a standard overhead that would hit regardless if they were left a standing state, and ive even heard people saying to "fuzzy guard" a string on the defensive.

Can someone please explain the new meaning of fuzzy guard, because I can't see how its possible to "fuzzy guard" a mix up as the defensive opponent. Doombawkz Trust me, I'm a doctor. Doombawkz said:. Don't know if this will help, but I asked PigoftheHut this a while ago and this is what he said: "Ok fuzzy block is when you see a df2 from doomsday coming and you block first hit standing then press down to block the second hit which is a low" After reading Xeno's notes, the term becomes more fuzzy Redk9 said:.
