It's such a shame they killed off Grant so early and did nothing with his death afterwards. I kind of wished they saved the Earth-1 Lionel until the finale for when Lex would return and kill him after he would have taken a positive mentoring role with Tess to make up for giving her away which would anger Lex to the point of killing him.
Especially in season 9 where she trusted the Kandorians and made mistakes--having some guidance from Lionel then would have been cool. I rewatched the entire series, two years ago with my son, who was a too young when it originally aired.
