Brian is propositioned by a potentially important client and Justin struggles with his relationship with his mother. Ted recovers from his near-fatal overdose by dating Roger, an overweight chorus director. David gets into a tug-of-war with Brian over Michael. Lindsay meets Justin and is impressed with his artwork.
When Michael and Dr. David spend a weekend in the country, Brian's emotional hold on Michael and his dislike for Dr.
David intensifies. Justin's father discovers the truth about his son and decides to send him away to school. Justin's father assaults Brian outside Babylon, prompting Justin to leave home and move in with Brian. Michael gets a promotion at work. Michael decides to break up with Dr. David but is surprised when Dr. David asks him to move in.
Lindsay and Melanie ask Brian to give up his parental rights to Gus. Emmett's addiction to cyber-sex begins to invade his reality. David continues to pressure Michael to move in. After his loft is burglarized, Brian blames Justin who runs away to New York. Lindsay and Melanie begin to drift apart. Michael ends his relationship with Dr. Brian throws a surprise 30th birthday party for Michael and "outs" him to his co-worker. Ted has an opportunity for revenge on an old flame.
Ben and Michael help Hunter lift his spirits and get back to school. Bored as a lady of leisure, Debbie goes back to the diner. Proposition 14 threatens same sex couple's rights. Justin's decision to move out of Brian's loft creates a rift between Brian and Michael. Ted struggles to exact revenge on Troy Lee Rumohr.
Lindsay moves back in to her parents' house with Gus. Justin lands himself in jail. Brian and Brandon work their way down the list of the ten hottest guys in Pittsburgh.
Ben grieves Hunter's departure. Melanie and Lindsay attempt an in-house separation while Emmett's stalker reveals himself. The gang fights against Proposition Michael and Brian still aren't speaking to each other while Lindsay and Melanie's in-house separation heats up. Drew Matt Battaglia finally comes out. Ted begins his quest for his Mr. Cyndi Lauper makes a guest appearance as Babylon plays host to the Stop Prop14 Benefit - an event that changes everyone's lives. Ted continues to push his friends away as he begins a new job.
Vic and Rodney decide to move in together. Brian turns to Ted for help with his new agency. Justin and Cody take the Pink Posse to a violent level. A social worker's visit with Michael and Ben doesn't quite go as planned. Ted accepts Brian's offer of a job at Kinnetik. Cody takes Justin to the firing range. Melanie lends her support to the custody case after Ted helps her see what's important. Each now living alone, Emmett and Debbie find comfort in each other's company.
Michael and Justin receive an offer to turn 'Rage' into a live-action feature film. Ted delivers his letter of amends to Emmett. Debbie and Vic get into a heated argument that will change their lives. Brian receives shocking news. Brian is diagnosed with testicular cancer. Ted falls back into old habits. Debbie tries to make up for the awful things she said to Vic before his death.
